So it’s safe to say the Advertising Industry is booming at a rapid rate for a foreseeable future and Digital Marketing is on its forefront with Mobile internet as its rising superstar.

As the question is concerned, Digital Marketing where the money is at for people who have the necessary skills and expertise. So let’s explore some of the ways someone could get into Digital Marketing and make some money.

World Class Blog Guideline:

First let’s get the reality of it out of the way. This one is doable, but extremely difficult and time consuming. There are few reasons for this, the success of a blog depends on a few aspects;

* The Loyal Following

As in terms of SEO, it is very difficult to Rank in 2019 if you are going after generic topics because there are plenty of active blogs who have been there for a very long time so SEO is something that keeps getting difficult day by day. This is the first challenge the Blogger must solve, to have a water tight SEO plan (basically you better know what you’re doing, or get someone else who knows what they are doing)

The way to do this is by going after a very small niche and to be THE expert on that particular niche by providing valuable content. Only through this you will create your ‘Loyal Following’. This is the desired outcome for any blog. Once you have a following you are going to be exposed to various forms of income generating avenues. Some income generating ways are passive. Remember the important thing here is to gain traffic and build a real following to your Blog, so if you are looking for a way to make money from tomorrow morning stop reading this because this is not for you. We are in it to for the long term.

Finding a Niche

Select something that your passionate about, look at the broad industry and the information on it, select a subsection on that industry that you are interested to explore about. Then do a search on ‘Google Trends’ on keywords, you can try several keywords on and see the growing popularity of the search term. Then go over to ‘Google Keyword Planner’ and see the other search terms for your subject. If you are willing to go one step further then you can use paid tools like SemrushSerpstat and Raven Tools These will enhance your research ability so I highly recommend use them at least for a trial period.

Select the Blogging Platform -

This is the software that is used o manage your blog. The most famous of the Blogging Platform is WordPress, which I highly recommend. But there are alternatives like Blogger which is a free platform.

Selecting a Domain Name –

This is a very important step as it will be the first form of viewer visibility. You have to decide whether you’re creating a personal brand, informational site based on the keywords that you focus. Some of the best bloggers in the world like Yaro StarakPerez Hilton and Ryan Robson have all built their blogs using their name. This could be highly profitable as they can use their names in various forms of online and later on many offline money making streams such as Conference Talks, Workshops etc.

Build Your Personal following –

This is not about just creating content for the sake of it, but it’s about understanding your Target Audience and create the “Right Content for the Right People.

  • Find out the Pain or Pleasure points of your Target Audience
  • Have attractive Titles that have the specific search terms in it, so they click on it
  • Be active on research to make sure that you are updated on the points of interest for your Specific Target Audience.
  • Be the expert or the educator of the subject
Another important thing to consider is not to be the Salesman and push for Products and Services too early in your blog. Concentrate in trying to be the Authority of the Subject first, after that people will beg you to create products for them to buy. Everyone buys but no one wants to be sold. So focus on Content Creation based on the value you deliver to your Niche Target Audience.
